Rag & Bone Spring 2010

September 13, 2009

To be honest, I hadn’t looked too hard at David Neville and Marcus Wainwright Rag & Bone line. That is until I saw the amazing images from the Spring 2010 Ready to Wear Collection from New York Fashion Week.

What made me even more joyful was the fact that I own a green parker in the same shade as the one above. I bought it a while ago from H & M but never really knew what to wear it with until a couple of months ago. This collection reaffirmed what I had been thinking. Layering and with crisp neutral shades.

What I love about this label is that the designers have no formal training, just sheer passion for what they do. Something I can relate to.

Here is my rip off Rag & Bone outfit…

Deconstructed dress which I practically live in, navy long cardigan, belt made out of a handbag strap and fabric from a sabotaged wrap dress, grey school socks, ridiculously high brown wooden and suede sandals (Kurt Geiger £59, the ultimate bargain of my entire life) and the parker.

A rag and bone man is a term that describes someone who collected other peoples junk. Funnily enough, there used to be such a man when I lived at my pervious home. He used to ride through the alleyways, collecting old washing machines, fridges and kettles, you name it, he took it. Who knew he would be so über chic in 2009?
